23 April, 2024:
IOM India Mission & Ministry of External Affairs (Government of India) hosted Roundtable on International Migration of Indian Women Workers at New Delhi.
The Roundtable brought together key government and non-government stakeholders, UN Agencies, academia, subject matter experts, and recruitment agencies. The discussions considered critical facets pertinent to ensuring the Safe, Orderly, and Regular Migration of Women migrants below the age of thirty to Emigration Check Required (ECR) Countries.
The participants collectively looked at ways to collaboratively explore measures that foster a secure, organised, and systematic migration process, with a particular focus on resolving the unique challenges faced by women migrants as they seek work opportunities outside India.
